Founded in 2024 as a dedicated division of the esteemed DnD Construction, established in 2001, DnD Civil Construction was created to meet the heavy civil construction needs of the forestry industry.
Our team brings over 50 years of combined forestry project management experience and 60+ years of field operations expertise, delivering reliable execution in complex environments. All operators are professional, adaptable, and committed to clear communication. Project managers are accredited Master Logger members, and every crew member holds current First Aid, CPR, and RT-130 wildland fire training. With more than 40 years of combined wildland firefighting experience, safety, preparedness, and responsible forestry practices guide every project we complete.
We offer a wide range of services, including fire mitigation, road construction, forest mastication, and wetland restoration. Our team has the expertise and experience to handle any project, big or small.

I was born in Chewelah, Washington, and raised on a cattle ranch in the Pacific Northwest. Growing up in a logging family shaped the way I understood work from an early age. My uncles and cousins logged or depended on the logging industry, so I was surrounded by people who believed in long days, hard work, and taking pride in what they built. Those roots taught me that work is not just a way to make a living; it is a way to support family, strengthen a community, and leave something meaningful behind.
After high school, I attended diesel technology school and graduated with top honors, earning a 4.0 GPA. That accomplishment meant a lot to me because it showed what I could do when I committed myself fully to a goal. It also gave me a strong foundation in equipment, mechanics, problem solving, and discipline. Looking back, that part of my life helped prepare me for the construction world, where every job requires focus, responsibility, and the ability to keep moving forward when challenges come up.
In 2004, I formed DND Construction. At the beginning, it took long hours, determination, and trust in the people around me. Over time, we worked hard enough to build the company into one of the largest installation companies in North America. We developed relationships with major clients including Starbucks Coffee, Chanel, Diesel, the Department of Defense, Safeway, Albertsons, Kroger, Raley’s, Hyatt, Marriott, Washington State University, Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, Pepperdine, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, LAX, Dallas Love Field, and many others. Those relationships were not built overnight. They came from dedication to service, meeting project schedules, and proving that our word meant something.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned through my career is that success depends on people. Whether I was working with employees, subcontractors, customers, or project managers, communication and trust were always important. I learned that leadership means more than giving direction. It means setting an example, solving problems under pressure, and making sure the team has what it needs to succeed. There were difficult moments along the way, but those challenges helped me become more patient, more focused, and more confident in my decisions.
In 2025, we decided to move capital and start DnD Civil Construction, returning to the family roots that first shaped me: heavy equipment, logging, excavation, and civil work. This decision felt personal because it brought my career back to where my work ethic began. My goal is not only to build another successful company, but also to create good jobs in our community and give people the same opportunity to learn, work hard, and build a future. I want DnD Civil Construction to become a company known for quality, reliability, and respect for the people and places we serve.
As I look toward the future, my career goals are tied closely to my past. I want to continue growing as a business owner and leader while staying connected to the values I learned on the ranch and in the logging community: honesty, grit, responsibility, and pride in a job done right. My work experience has taught me that every stage of life can prepare a person for the next one. I am proud of what I have built, but I am even more motivated by what is still ahead: strengthening my company, supporting my community, and leaving a legacy that reflects where I came from.
